Colin is co-founder of Rumford Portfolio Management (commercial real estate family office), Peregrine Group LLC (3rd party owner’s project management) and Peregrine Property Management (3rd party facility management) and worked as a commercial real estate professional for 29 years. He is lead partner for company transaction activities, including deal origination, project underwriting, due diligence, leasing, and project capitalization. Representative hospitality projects include Hammetts Hotel (Newport, RI), Hotel Downstreet (North Adams, MA), Ocean House (Watch Hill, RI), Inn at Castle Hill (Newport, RI), Newport Yachting Center, Block Island Boat Basin, and eleven restaurants.
Colin serves as the Chair of the Newport Bridge Realignment Property Advisory Commission, Chair of the Economic Development Foundation of Rhode Island, and Board Member for BankNewport and Delta Dental of Rhode Island.. He previously served as Admiral of the Rhode Island Commodores and as founding Chair of the I-195 Redevelopment Commission. He is a frequent guest lecturer at Harvard University, Bryant University, Brown University, and Roger Williams University.
He holds a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the United States Naval Academy, Master of Arts from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
